PeeWee’s Purple Penalty Box

Manitowoc County Youth Hockey PRE Crew Presents

PeeWee’s Purple Penalty Box

Hockey Fights Cancer and Manitowoc County Youth Hockey team up to bring you PeeWee's Purple Penalty Box!

What is it?

Hockey Fights Cancer is a charitable Initiative taken by the NHL and the NHLPA (National Hockey League Players Association) in 1998. The Organization is Based from a similar program the Tampa Bay Lightning founded. The Lightning started this program to honor former player, John Cullen, after his brief NHL comeback after battling Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

How does the MCYHA come in?

The PRE Crew will be hosting an event called the PeeWee's Purple Penalty Box on January 21, 2023 during the PeeWee Vs. Sheboygan. We will be having basket raffles, 50/50 raffles, a bake sale, and more!

We Need YOUR Help!

The very first and very important step in this process is finding someone to help. We are taking nominations for a person either currently suffering from or has already completed their battle with cancer that would benefit from a cash donation. The proceeds from the event will be split 50/50 with this person. 50% of the profits will go to them and the other 50% will stay in the organization to help us continue to bring you fun activities!

How do I nominate someone?

Easy Peasy! All you have to do is fill out a google form, available through email, and the pre Crew will randomly choose someone from that pool of people. Please see a member of the pre crew for further information! Nominations will be closed on December 23 so we have time to contact the ‘winner’ and let them know they have been chosen.
