Updated 22 October 2020
The Board has adopted an updated COVID-19 Mitigation Plan under the advisement of Association’s recently formed COVID Task Force, made up of Association members in various aspects of the medical profession, to ensure we are relying on the best of understanding of current guidance and data in terms of mitigation and return to play.
The updated plan is attached at the bottom of this page, along with easily digestible flow charts for the scenarios of: 1) COVID Symptoms; 2) COVID Exposure; and 3) Positive COVID Test.
HAVE A KNOWN EXPOSURE TO A COVID POSITIVE CASE; OR,
ARE EXPERIENCING COVID SYMPTOMS; OR,
HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19;
YOU MUST REPORT THIS TO THE TASK FORCE VIA: Breakerscovidteam@yahoo.com
You will receive specific guidance on return to play for your situation from a task force member in accordance with the updated mitigation plan.
Coaches must wear masks at all times, including on-ice.
Mites must come dressed and arrive 10 minutes prior to ice time.
*Both of the above are to reduce the amount of “unprotected exposure” and be in alignment with guidelines on the matter.
Skaters will be required to wear an on-ice mask or splash guard; best avenues are being actively explored, and multiple products are being field tested. Please contact a board member with suggestions on this front.
In the interim, social distancing will be enforced on-ice.
