Blade Bash 2019 featuring Oil Can Harry!
It's back! The coolest kickoff to the hockey season ever! The Manitowoc County Youth Hockey Association invites the public to join us for Blade Bash 2019, a fundraising event open to the public, on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 6:00 – 11:30 p.m. at the Manitowoc County Ice Center. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this event!
This adults-only event will feature the band Oil Can Harry, hamburgers/brats, alcohol and soda available for purchase as well as several chances to win cash prizes. Tickets to the event will cost $5 and can be purchased in advance from any MCYHA family. All proceeds benefit the Manitowoc County Youth Hockey Association and will directly impact the fees families pay during the season.
Leading up to the event, MCYHA families will be selling $100 raffle tickets for a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000. Only 300 tickets will be sold for this raffle! In addition, there will be (1) $1000 prize, (2) $500 prizes, (4) $350 prizes, (22) $200 prizes. The winners will be announced at 10:00 p.m. the evening of Blade Bash (need not be present to win - but each raffle ticket entitles the holder to FREE entrance!). Raffle ticket stubs, money, and unsold tickets are due September 1st. Families will be billed for any tickets that are not returned by this date. Families can earn fundraising credit by selling Entrance tickets for $5/ticket. All presales must be complete by September 1st.
We are looking for businesses/organizations to sponsor this event. As a thank you from the players and the Association for cash donations, businesses/organizations will be promoted throughout the night, on social media prior to and during the event, as well as by displaying the business/organization name and/or logo on a banner at the Manitowoc County Ice Center for the upcoming year. If you know of a business that might be interested in sponsoring, please contact Carrie Wallander or Jane Seiler. The deadline for business sponsorships is August 23.
Families of MCYHA will be asked to help ensure this event runs smoothly and is successful. We will have many volunteer hours available for helping the day of this event. Please plan on having at least one adult member of your family available to work the event on this day; this event is what will help keep your hockey player’s fees low. If you would be interested in helping to plan this event, are willing to obtain sponsorships or items for raffle baskets, please contact Chloe Cigler at 920-860-6864 or firstname.lastname@example.org for immediate questions.
